Founded in 1889, Olivícola Laur is a pioneer in olive tree cultivation and olive oil production in the province of Mendoza, Argentina. In 2021, according to the EVOO WORLD RANKING, Laur was recognized as the number one olive oil producer in the world. The brand maintained this prestigious position in 2022 and 2023, placing Laur among the top 100 olive oil producers world wide for three consecutive years. This achievement marks a historic milestone for the brand. 

The history dates back to 1889, when it was founded by French immigrant Francisco Laur. Originally from the Loire region in southern France, he moved to Cruz de Piedra in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, in the early 1880s. There, he began cultivating olive trees and producing olive oil, making Laur one of the pioneers of olive growing and olive oil production in Mendoza. Since 1996, Laur has embraced technological innovation, introducing modern olive oil extraction machinery - specifically, a continuous centrifugal extraction system -which significantly increased production efficiency.
